September 17-18 the world Whisky Live Moscow 2010 festival took place in the multifunctional complex “Capital City”, for the first time in Russia. Whisky industry representatives from all over the world presented their achievements to professionals and whisky connoisseurs in Russia.
Authoritative whisky professionals, particularly “whisky guru”, writer Charles Maclean; brand-ambassador of Inter House Distillers Adrian Boelle, famous mix-maker and Japan whisky Nikka ambassador Stanislav Vardna made presentations and taught master classes (please find the presentations and CVs).
Whisky testings in the company of key whisky brands’ ambassadors and whisky-combinations (harmonious combinations of whisky, cigars and delicacies) became another important emphasis of the festival. Whisky Live event has become traditional in many countries. It first took place in Tokyo in 2000. Today its geography comprises about 20 countries, such as Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain, Holland, Japan, China, India, etc. Its annual audience is over 150 000 people. In Russia it took place for the fist time.
