Farewell Bell for REMI First Graduates

A solemn commencement for the first Real Estate Management Institute graduates took place September 17, 2010 together with the meeting of the second list of listeners for the “Effective manager” course 2010-2011.

The event was started with the speech of Vice-president of HR & Organizational Development Department Yulia Sushkova. She shared REMI’s achievements – not only in educational process, but also in the field of rationing and standardization of the industry. “For only one year of existence REMI has transformed from an industrial educating institute, created in crisis for personnel learning and development, into a Center of administrative technologies in real estate, which has become a basis for industrial standards,” resumed Yulia, speaking about the opportunities of economy of collaboration and progressive results for both REMI members and for development industry at large.

Taking stock of the academic year, HR director of IG Absolut Tatiana Klimentieva noted: “Our program “Effective manager” is a mini-MBA course with a specialization in development. Deeply thought-out program, practical focus, using major companies’ real cases and experts’ experience, - all this guarantied diversified knowledge for listeners: general management, HR management, essentials of marketing and sales organization, finances and project management, and also particularities of management in changing conditions. The first academic year results allow to make conclusions about the principal rising of line managers’ management competences level. Thanks to REMI, about 40% of the member companies’ administrative reserves have received management positions and actualized their career plans.”

Presenting innovations 2010-2011 to the future “Effective manager” course students, Tatiana has particularly mentioned the development of “Practical experience workshop” (master classes, roundtable discussions, case studies and conferences). This year the “Effective manager” course will be 20 hours longer.

The diplomas were given to first graduates by: HR director of RosEvroDevelopment Elena Gneusheva, HR director of IG Absolut Tatiana Klimentieva, vice-president of HR & Organisational Development Department of Capital Group Yulia Sushkova, HR director of Mirax Group Alexandr Alhov, deputy director general of HR at DS Developments Natalia Evdokimova, HR director of Knight Frank Oksana Polishuk .

Everybody with an honors degree has received a present from REMI partner – Harvard Business Review magazine free annual subscription. The magazine’s publisher in Russia Svetlana Tunyakina expressed high opinion of the idea of REMI and the professionalism showed during its realization: “We have no professional institute in media industry, and that’s a big problem. Our magazine has its own business club – about 60 people who occasionally gather to discuss topical issues. The main topic today is how to find talents and turn them into professionals. The idea seems simple, but it’s very complicated in realization. You were first who managed to do it.”

For best master classeswere awarded: Director of Assets Management Department at Capital Group Marina Gubanova (“Facility management”), and head of Permission and Project Documentation Department at IG Absolut Irina Mordovina (“Project documentation”).

Best trainersof the year: “Financial Management” course author Viorika Ursu (Capital Group), “Project management” course author Vitaliy Kamalov (IG Absolut) and “General Management” course author Daria Efimova, business trainer.

The best case studyof the year: the visit to RosEvroDevelopment modern A-class logistics complex “Krekshino”, organized by Alexandr Rogozinsky.

In September 2009 the “Effective manager” program gathered 67 people. 52 of them have studied till the end of the academic year, and 34 students have successfully graduated. 11 specialists have gained diplomas with honors.
