Capital Group announces strategic partnership with the Moscow House of Photography. Their first joint project is the Photobiennale 2010 that has recently taken off in Moscow.
The 2010 Biennale takes place from March, 11 till June, 27 in over 20 locations, including the Manezh Exhibition Centre , Shusev State Museum of Architecture and the multi-use complex Capital City which will exhibit photos by prominent Russian and international photographers Gabriele Bazilico, Leonid Tishkov, Francoise Huguier, Alina Gutkina and Natalya Nikitina.
At a press-conference dedicated to the Biennale 2010, Olga Sviblova, director of the Moscow House of Photography, noted that Capital City was emotionally very much in tune with the Biennale photos: “Capital City is not an ordinary exhibition location, this place is marked by its outstanding architectural design and, most importantly, by a profound conceptual message. Capital Group has its own collection of modern art that features both young Russian (Oksana Mas’, Dmitriy Rozanov etc.) and internationally-acclaimed artists (Anish Kapur, Jeff Kuns and others). I believe, it is here that the Biennale exhibits, for instance ‘Sublime’ and by Francoise Huguier or ‘Private Moon.Trip to Paris’ by Leonid Tishkov, will send their most powerful message.”
Valentina Stanovova, first vice-president of Capital Group, greeted the participants to the press-conference by saying: “ It is not a coincidence that our company has become a strategic partner of the Moscow House of Photography”. The photo collection displays various forms and styles. Some of the artists already enjoy international acclaim while others are yet to earn their laurels in the years to come. Each exhibit bears witness to its maker’s good grasp of ambience and things unique – something that can make each exhibit a masterpiece. Here lies the reason why the Biennale participants and Capital Group have a lot in common: each of the buildings we have erected over the past 16 years is unique and creates a certain ambience in the city of Moscow.
Valentina Stanovova concluded her address by inviting everyone to visit the following exhibitions to be held in Capital City
